To celebrate the launch of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Eiffel Tower swaps its golden lighting for a splendid blue color as soon as night falls, accompanied by the 12 stars of the European flag. The Tower retains its twinkle for 5 minutes every hour until 1 a.m.
