My First Be@rbrick Baby Series
Chiaki Fujimoto
Chiaki Fujimoto (藤本千秋), a.k.a Chiaki, is the designer behind the series of My First Bearbrick Baby (MFB) that has become one of the longest running releases for Medicom Toy. Born 1971 in Kyoto, Japan, Chiaki is a Japanese tarento (known as talent in Japan) and media personality who specializes in singing, voice acting, designing baby clothes and more. Her father, Katsuji Fujimoto, is the chairman of NSG (Nippon Sheet Glass) and Pilkington Group Ltd (UK), one of the largest glass companies in the world.
A lesser known fact is that Chiaki also designed the Mysterious Bearbell Bearbrick 400%/100%, released in Jun 2009.
MFB was inspired by Chiaki's wish to give her daughter a toy that rattles. Chiaki requested for objects to be placed in the torso of the Bearbrick, and for the Bearbrick to be in pastel colours, reminiscent of a child's toy.

- MFB Colette (Dec 2008): Through an introduction by Isetan Shinjuku, Medicom worked with Colette, a French high fashion, streetwear retailer located in Paris, to release a blue version of MFB Bearbrick in 2008.
