Sneakers & Bearbricks

Sneakers and toys pervade the streetwear culture. The collaborations between sneakers and Bearbricks have encouraged an overlap across the sneaker and Bearbrick collector communities.

Since 2006, Medicom Toy has been partnering Nike on Bearbricks, sneakers and sportwear. Typically, the release of these Bearbricks are accompanied by sneakers or a capsule collection including apparels.

There are numerous collaborations between both Medicom Toy and Nike. We picked out the prominent ones for a deeper dive.

1. Three Be@rbrick Project

Released in 2006, the Three Be@rbrick Project consisted of a family of Bearbricks and sneakers, consisting of Papa Bear (400%), Mama Bear (100%) and Baby Bear (50%). All three sneakers of the pack feature a material resembling bear fur on the toe and side panel.

    2. Lunar Force 1 Collection

The Lunar Force 1 release was meant to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Nike's Air Force 1 model. This Medicom Toy Be@rbrick x Nike Lunar Force 1 collab featured two colorways: Black/Grey-White and White/Royal-Safety Orange. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice Be@rbrick and signature Nike branding throughout, with matching laces and metal lace locks for a clean finish.

    3. Medicom Toy x Nike x CLOT

Medicom Toy teamed up with both Nike and CLOT to produce the Black Silk 1000% Bearbrick and Royale University Blue Silk 400%/100% Bearbricks in a rare triple collaboration.

The Nike x CLOT Royale University Blue Silk 400%/100% Bearbricks were released with a Nike x CLOT Air Force 1 Low in blue, while the Nike x CLOT Black Silk 1000% Bearbrick was released with a pair of Nike x CLOT x Fragmentdesign Air Force 1 Low. Interestingly, Fragmentdesign logo was absent from the Bearbrick.
